Mechanical Designer

COMPANY OVERVIEW

Quality Paint and Coatings is a leader in the painting and coating industry located in the Fox Valley.  We specialize in Industrial, Commercial, and Military paint and coating applications.  Our team is looking for qualified candidates to help us as we grow and take on new challenges.

SUMMARY

The Graphic Artist will work with a wide range of media using graphic design software to pull pieces out of Technical Drawings and redraw, trace and modify as needed. Works with the BD team on specifications of drawings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with a wide range of media and use graphic design software

• Must be able to pull pieces out of Technical Drawings and redraw or trace at times

• Make small modifications to part lines as needed

• Work with the BD Manager of specifications of drawings when changes are needed

• Send files to engraver/cutter and get solutions ready for production

• Secondary help taking pictures, creating graphics and ads for social media

• Other duties as assigned

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Must be flexible and able to make changes with minimal notice

• Excellent time management and organizational skills

• Accuracy and attention to detail

• Skilled at prioritization and multi-tasking

• Strong attention to detail

• Experience in Corel Draw (Corel 2018 Preferred)

• Experience with MS Office 2010 or greater (Office 365 preferred)

• 2 years proven graphic designing experience

• Ability to work well either alone or as part of a team

• Effective verbal, listening and written communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• College degree in Fine Arts or equivalent

• Graphic Design experience working in a manufacturing setting

• Demonstrate graphic design skills with a strong portfolio
